Wine description
Born from the idea of creating the highest possible quality, Lago Scuro represents the perfect union between the excellence of the Merlot grape, the expressive power of its terroir and the values of the estate.
Each harvest begins with a meticulous manual selection of every single berry, under the supervision of oenologist Alessandro Cellai. Aged 24 months in barrique, this 100% Merlot reveals deep notes of blackberry and blueberry, harmoniously blended with hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is powerful yet refined, fragrant and remarkably smooth, with impressive structure, concentration and length.
Produced in only 2,700 numbered bottles – Limited Edition, Lago Scuro 2022 is a wine of great personality and longevity, destined to evolve gracefully over the next 20 to 30 years.
